Right Brain vs. Left Brain – The Power of Visualization for Preparation
Studying Acting technique is important, but sometimes we are working too hard. This course teaches a practical approach effective for all levels. Learn the difference between prepping using visualization (the right side of the brain) versus our logical analytical “guard-dog” portion of the brain. Learn to relax and play more in the scene. Based in neuroscience and kinesthetics, discover the power of trusting your body in the moment and avoid performing a scene as expected and instead learn to LIVE in the scene each and every take. Understand how true preparation leads to a place of constant discovery rather than the suffocating effects of right and wrong expectations.

Vince Pisani has over 20 years experience as a professional film, television, and stage actor, gaining a reputation as a talented character actor and coach affectionately known as “The Head of the Teddy Bear Mafia.” He has landed recurring roles on such shows as Halt and Catch Fire, The Gifted, Brockmire, SIX, Bigger and Saints and Sinners, as well as appeared on The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Good Behavior, Watchmen, The Act and numerous others. On the big screen he was recently seen in Jumanji 2: The Next Level, TAG, and Office Christmas Party, and will soon appear as a supporting role in The Conjuring 3.

Vince taught ongoing courses in Acting for Film at Creative Studios of Atlanta (5 years), Get Scene Studios (2 and a half years), assisted at Kennesaw State University in the film acting class, and worked as the in-house audition session runner for one of Atlanta’s leading Talent Agencies, Houghton Talent. He has viewed and conducted thousands of auditions and training sessions and currently trains students privately in one on one and small group sessions. He has assisted and session run castings for top commercial and film casting directors in the southeast, and has been the on set acting coach for FOX’s STAR. He’s trained actors of all levels from beginners to series regulars and leads in motion pictures.

As a teacher, he provides a unique knowledge and perspective of actor, agency-rep, and session runner. His students learn a very practical approach to the craft and business of acting.
